Every New Netflix Horror Movie and TV Series Coming This Fall

Netflix has announced its Netflix and Chill lineup for the Halloween season. Here are the horror movies and tv shows to watch.

They say Halloween begins earlier and earlier every year. This year that date is fittingly Friday the 13th.

In honor of the cursed part of the calendar, Netflix has unveiled what to expect from their new horror releases for fall 2019. The list features the streamer’s already considerably large horror catalogue along with a handful of new original movies. Here is a video Netflix put together to celebrate.

The new Netflix original horror films include Shadow of the Moon (September 27), In the Tall Grass (October 4), Fractured (October 11), Eli (October 18) and Rattlesnake (October 25).

Shadow of the Moon stars Boyd Holbrook and Michael C. Hall and follows a Philadelphia detective who slowly unravels while pursuing an enigmatic serial killer. It’s directed by Jim Mickle (Hap and Leonard).

In the Tall Grass is probably the most notable of the bunch, as its based on a horror novella from Stephen King and his son Joe Hill. The film will star Patrick Wilson and deals with two siblings who enter into a vast field of grass in Kansas and encounter a spot of bother getting out.

Sam Worthington stars as Ray Monroe, a father on a mission, in Fractured. When Ray’s daughter Peri is injured in an accident at a rest stop during a holiday trip, Ray and his wife Joanne (Lily Rabe) take her to a mysterious hospital where all is not what it seems.

Eli is an entry into the tested and true “creepy kid” genre of horror. Eli is a boy with a mysterious illness whose only hope may be a doctor with an atypical treatment.

Rattlesnake is a psychological horror movie starring Carmen Ejogo as Katrina, a single mother on a road trip with her daughter, Clara. When Clara is bitten by a rattlesnake, Katrina turns to a mysterious woman for help and strikes a deal she may not be able to fullfill.

If for whatever reason, none of those are to your liking, Netflix has a new Best Halloween Movies section with fare like The Haunting of Hill House, The Babysitter, and Insidious.
